The 2024–25 UEFA Champions League introduces a revamped format, expanding the competition and altering its structure significantly.

🆕 New Format Overview

  • Expanded League Phase:The traditional group stage has been replaced with a single league phase comprising 36 teams
  • Match Structure:Each team plays eight matches against eight different opponents (four home and four away), determined by seeding pots
  • Advancement Criteria: -Top 8 teams advance directly to the Round of 16 -Teams ranked 9th to 24th enter a two-legged playoff to secure the remaining eight spots in the Round of 16 -Teams ranked 25th and below are eliminated from European competition for the season
